The Listening Booth presents...

Sid and Jim

Where Are They Now?
1m53s ; 2016

The piece is a speech written for the artists by a ghost writer and spoken by a voice over actor. Listeners will hear fictional projects and artworks but in real situations e.g Tate Modern. Merging the two together is mirroring the fact that artists are fabricators by design; they bring things into the world that did not previously exist. The robotic delivery combined with occasional errors creates a distance from the subject matter, similar to that of adverts. The only difference is we are advertising ourselves.

The work is best experienced alone, either through headphones or speakers.
